Designed by Minneapolis church architect Warren H. Hayes in the Richardsonian Romanesque style, the Wesley United Methodist Church stands at 101 Grant Street East in Minneapolis, built during the city's construction boom of the 1890s. The structure showcases characteristic round-arched windows and multiple towers, constructed from granite, stone, brick, and sandstone. Originally named the Wesley Methodist Episcopal Church, it was renamed in 1968 following the Methodist Episcopal Church's merger with the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building now occupies a residential area that has been dramatically transformed by the neighboring Minneapolis Convention Center and currently serves as home to Substance Church.
