West Bank Light, officially West Bank Front Range Light, is an active lighthouse in Lower New York Bay within New York City, built in 1901 and heightened in 1908. Standing 17 meters tall with two floors, it serves as the front range light for the Ambrose Channel, paired with Staten Island Light as the rear range light. The tower features a keeper's dwelling on its second story, approximately five standard stories above ground, spanning 1,500 square feet. Its beam was visible from as far as the Riegelmann Boardwalk in Coney Island and South Beach, Staten Island. Though listed on the National Register of Historic Places and identified as surplus in 2007, the lighthouse remains active but is not open to the public.
