The West End Historic District of Dallas encompasses a 67.5-acre area in northwest downtown, bounded by Commerce to the south, I-35E to the west, Lamar to the east, and the Woodall Rodgers Freeway to the north. Characterized by Chicago School architecture, the district is positioned south of Victory Park and north of the Government and Reunion districts, with its far western portion overlapping the Dealey Plaza Historic District, a National Historic Landmark associated with sites and memorials related to the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The district holds listing on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, and a smaller section is designated as a Dallas Landmark District.
