Built in 1855 in West Fairlee, Vermont, this Greek Revival church stands at the intersection of Middlebrook and Bear Notch Roads as a notably well-preserved example of rural religious architecture from the nineteenth century. The building's design reflects the classical idioms characteristic of its era, and it remains largely unaltered since its construction. The congregation's history is intertwined with that of Nathaniel Niles, a locally influential minister, landowner, and politician whose prominence shaped the church's significance within the community. The building was recognized for its architectural and historical importance when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
