West High School is a historic Art Deco school building in Auburn, New York, constructed in 1938 to serve students entering the industrial workforce. Unlike traditional high schools of its era, the building's design incorporated workshop-style classrooms devoted to practical, task-oriented training. The structure is distinguished by four low-relief sculptures, which may represent four categories of study: industrial arts, film, arts, and sciences. After operating as a middle school, the building closed in 2012 and was subsequently renovated into West Middle School Apartments, containing 59 one- and two-bedroom units. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.
