Western Canadian Place is a downtown Calgary office tower complex completed in 1983, comprising two structures—a taller North Tower and shorter South Tower. Designed by the architectural firm Cohos Evamy in late modernist style, the complex has served as headquarters for major energy companies including Husky Energy and offices for APA Corporation. The property was purchased in 2004 for $230,675,000 by bcIMC and is managed by GWL Realty Advisors, one of the firms involved in its original construction. Cohos Evamy, the same firm responsible for Calgary's Bankers Hall East and West towers, brought consistent modernist design principles to the city's evolving skyline.
