The Westin Book Cadillac Hotel is a 31-story Renaissance Revival skyscraper in downtown Detroit, designed by Louis Kamper and completed in 1924. Rising 349 feet with 453 rooms, the hotel originally opened as the Book-Cadillac Hotel as a premier lodging establishment. Its upper eight floors were later converted into luxury condominiums and penthouses. Located within the Washington Boulevard Historic District, the building underwent an extensive $200-million restoration and reopened in October 2008 under Westin Hotels management, securing its place as a contributing property on the National Register of Historic Places.
