The Whitman–Cobb House is a Greek Revival residence in New Market, Alabama, built circa 1861 with Federal and Adamesque details. The two-story rectangular structure features a three-bay façade with a one-story pedimented porch (installed in the 1940s to replace an earlier two-story version) and a main entrance of double doors flanked by sidelights and a transom. Windows display nine-over-nine sashes paired with narrow two-over-two sashes. An ell extends from the rear, while three chimneys rise from the gable ends, with the northwest example set within the clapboard siding. Mid-twentieth-century modifications included removal of the original detached kitchen and porch and the addition of a one-story rear structure containing three rooms and a garage around 1955. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
