Located in Niagara Falls, New York, the Whitney Mansion is a two-story Greek Revival stone house built in 1849 by the son of General Parkhurst Whitney, a village founder and proprietor of prominent local establishments. The structure features a distinctive two-story pedimented porch supported by four heavy Ionic columns, exemplifying the refined classicism of its era. Sited on a bluff overlooking the Niagara River just above the American Falls, the mansion commands a dramatic position within the landscape.
