Wildwood, located at 808 Park Avenue in Hot Springs, Arkansas, is a 2½-story wood-frame residence designed by architect Phillip Van Patten and completed in 1884 for Dr. Harvey Prosper Ellsworth, the architect's brother-in-law. Built in the Shingle style with strong Queen Anne influences, the house exhibits the exuberant formal vocabulary of late Victorian architecture: a round corner turret, steeply pitched roofs, projecting gables and sections, varied exterior sheathing, and multiple porches. The interior matches this ornamentation with well-preserved hardwood details throughout the downstairs rooms, each featuring different wood types. The residence was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and now operates as a bed and breakfast inn.
