The William J. Greenman House in Cortland, New York, is a 2½-story Queen Anne-style residence erected in 1896 from a pattern-book design by architect George Franklin Barber. The clapboard-clad frame structure, set upon a stone foundation, exemplifies the exuberant ornamental vocabulary of its era through elaborate wood trim, decorative shingles, and half-timbering. Its most distinctive features include a wraparound porch with a circular section crowned by a bell-shaped roof and projecting bay windows that enliven the facade. A contributing carriage house stands on the property. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
