The Winter Street Church, originally a Congregational house of worship at the corner of Washington and Winter Streets in Bath, Maine, was constructed in 1843–44 as an early and accomplished example of Gothic Revival design. Built by a local master builder, the structure exemplifies the architectural ambitions of mid-nineteenth-century New England religious communities. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, the building was rescued from destruction that same year by Sagadahoc Preservation Inc. and has since been repurposed as the Winter Street Center.
