The Woodward School, located on Town Square in St. George, Utah, is a Romanesque Revival building constructed between 1897 and 1901 as the city's first centralized public school, consolidating students from smaller schools throughout the community. Initially housing both elementary and intermediate students, it served as the primary school until 1936, when a new elementary building opened across the street and the structure became Woodward Junior High School. After a new junior high opened in 1977, the building was repurposed for various district uses, including overflow capacity for neighboring schools. The structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and underwent extensive restoration completed in 2004, after which it began housing Southwest Adult High School in 2020.
