West Ward School, a 2½-story Richardsonian Romanesque structure built between 1900 and 1902 in Gas City, Indiana, exemplifies early twentieth-century institutional architecture. Constructed of brick and stone, the building features a symmetrical facade anchored by round corner towers crowned with conical roofs, characteristic of the Romanesque Revival style. Originally designed as a school building, it is now known as the West Building of Mississinewa Community Schools and serves as a museum and community center. The structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
