The Yakima Park Stockade Group, located in the northeast section of Mount Rainier National Park in Pierce County, is a complex of four log buildings at the Sunrise Visitors Center that exemplifies National Park Service rustic architecture. Designed by Ernest A. Davidson and Thomas Chalmers Vint for the National Park Service, the group consists of two blockhouses and a stockade built between 1930 and 1943. The initial blockhouses and stockade were completed in 1930, with a second blockhouse added in 1943. Architecturally significant as a particularly fine example of rustic frontier log architecture, the complex was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987 and is part of the larger Mount Rainier National Historic Landmark District, which recognizes the park's comprehensive inventory of Park Service-designed rustic structures.
