The Yelverton Inn and Store is a four-building complex in Chester, New York, situated on NY 94 where the road transitions from Main to Academy Street. The group comprises an original inn dating to 1765, along with its barn and shed, and an 1841 store locally known as Durland's—a rare surviving example of Greek Revival commercial architecture. Both structures are well-preserved representatives of their respective periods and have long served as local landmarks. The complex gained historical prominence as a stopping point for notable figures including Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, and George Washington. The buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
