Completed in 2005, 111 South Wacker Drive is a 51-story blue-glass office tower in Chicago standing 208 meters tall. Designed by Lohan Caprile Goettsch Architects, the building occupies the site of the former U.S. Gypsum Building. It is distinguished by an innovative parking ramp whose corkscrew form creates a dramatic sloped ceiling in the main lobby, with the ramp's radiating lines mirrored in the exterior pavement. The structure was the first project to achieve LEED-CS Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, establishing it as a pioneering example of sustainable high-rise office design.
