Completed in 1990, 311 South Wacker Drive is a 65-story postmodern skyscraper designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox that rises 293 meters above Chicago's cityscape. Once the world's tallest reinforced concrete building and distinguished as the tallest structure known solely by its street address until surpassed by New York's 432 Park Avenue in 2015, it now ranks as Chicago's ninth-tallest and the nation's 36th-tallest building. The structure features a winter garden at its lower level designed to accommodate a potential underground connection to Chicago Union Station, three levels of underground parking, and a mix of retail and commercial tenants.
