Designed by César Pelli & Associates and completed in 1986, 250 Vesey Street is a 34-story, 500-foot skyscraper in Battery Park City, Lower Manhattan, one of four towers comprising the Brookfield Place complex. Originally called Four World Financial Center, it sits between the Hudson River and the World Trade Center. After the September 11 attacks damaged its roof, the building became the first in the complex to be reoccupied, with Merrill Lynch executives returning in October 2001. The structure was renamed 250 Vesey Street when the complex rebranded as Brookfield Place in 2014. It currently houses financial offices for Scotiabank and Jane Street Capital, as well as the headquarters of the College Board.
