Developed by Forest City Ratner, the tower was the tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere upon its opening in February 2011. The mixed-use structure combines 899 apartments with a school, hospital, retail stores, and parking garage on its lower levels, creating a multifunctional urban complex in lower Manhattan.
