The Adamson House is a Mediterranean Revival residence built in 1929 in Malibu, California, designed by architect Stiles O. Clements of the firm Morgan, Walls & Clements for Rhoda Rindge Adamson and Merritt Huntley Adamson. Situated on the coast within Malibu Lagoon State Beach park on what was known as Vaquero Hill in the nineteenth century, the house has earned the epithet "Taj Mahal of Tile" for its lavish use of decorative ceramic tiles produced by Rufus Keeler of Malibu Potteries. The estate blends Spanish Colonial and Moorish Revival elements characteristic of early twentieth-century California architecture. Designated California Historical Landmark No. 966 in 1977, the Adamson House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
