Ajinomoto Stadium is a multi-purpose sports venue in Chōfu, Tokyo, designed by the architecture firm Nihon Sekkei and completed in 2001 on the site of a former U.S. military facility at Kantō Mura. The stadium was the first in Japan to sell its naming rights, establishing a precedent for corporate sponsorship in Japanese sports infrastructure; Ajinomoto Co., Inc. has held the naming contract since 2003, renewing it multiple times, most recently through February 2029.
