Completed in 1847, the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral stands at 12 Rue Daru in Paris's 8th arrondissement as a Russian Orthodox place of worship. Designed by Roman Kuzmin in an eclectic Byzantine Revival style, the cathedral was constructed in dimension stone and remains a classified historical monument. It serves as the seat of the Archdiocese of Orthodox Churches of Russian Tradition in Western Europe. Services in the main cathedral are conducted in Church Slavonic, while some crypt services are offered in French.
