Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Houston's Montrose neighborhood is a Byzantine Revival structure built between 1950 and 1952 by the city's Greek community, serving as the spiritual center of the largest Eastern Orthodox parish in the city. Named for the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, the cathedral functioned as the seat of the Bishop of the 8th Diocesan District of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North and South America from 1967 to 1974. Beyond its liturgical role, the cathedral operates as part of the Annunciation Orthodox School and hosts a range of community ministries and organizations.
