Spanning the Miljacka River in Sarajevo, the Ars Aevi Bridge is a footbridge designed by Renzo Piano and completed in 2002. Conceived by Piano in his role as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, the structure connects the Grbavica neighborhood on the eastern bank to Vilsonovo Šetalište (Wilson's Promenade) on the opposite side. The bridge serves as both a functional crossing and a symbolic gateway, functioning as a "signpost" that directs citizens to the nearby Ars Aevi Museum and Center for contemporary art, which holds works by internationally recognized artists.
