Ars Aevi is a museum of contemporary art in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, established in 1992 during the siege of Sarajevo as an act of cultural resistance to the Bosnian war. The museum houses approximately 130 works by internationally renowned artists including Michelangelo Pistoletto, Jannis Kounellis, Joseph Beuys, Marina Abramović, and Joseph Kosuth. A new purpose-built museum building designed by architect Renzo Piano is planned for construction in the coming years.
