Asamayama kofun is a zenpō-kōen-fun (keyhole-shaped mound tomb) located in Sakae, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, dating to around 700 CE. This funerary monument represents the characteristic form of late kofun construction, distinguished by its distinctive keyhole profile combining a circular rear section with a rectangular forecourt, a design that had dominated Japanese burial architecture for centuries by the early eighth century.
