Completed in 2000, Aurora Place is a 41-storey mixed-use skyscraper designed by Renzo Piano on Phillip Street in Sydney. Rising 218 metres to its steel spire and 188 metres to the roof, the building's defining feature is its non-orthogonal geometry—no panel is parallel to any grid—with an east façade that bulges outward and curves upward, subtly echoing the form of the Sydney Opera House and the harbour's marine character. The glass curtain wall extends beyond the structural frame, creating an illusion of floating transparency. Interior winter gardens occupy the northwest and southeast corners, offering natural light and views toward Sydney Harbour and the Botanical Gardens, equipped with operable louvre systems. The tower also houses one of Australia's most significant corporate art collections, with works by artists including Kan Yasuda, Caio Fonseca, and Tim Prentice on public display throughout the building.
