The Badrakali Amman Temple in Sivakasi, a town in Virudhunagar district in Tamil Nadu, is a Hindu shrine dedicated to the goddess Badrakali, built in the Dravidian architectural style. Constructed during the 18th century with expansions undertaken in the 19th and 20th centuries, the temple features a distinctive five-tiered gopuram (gateway tower) and is enclosed by a granite wall that surrounds all its shrines. The temple maintains a regular schedule of worship, including four daily rituals and numerous yearly festivals, among which the Panguni Pongal and Chithirai Pongal celebrations are particularly prominent.
