The Bama Theatre is a three-story Streamline Moderne building in downtown Tuscaloosa, Alabama, designed by architect David Whilldin and completed in 1937. Constructed of brick and limestone, it occupies a prominent corner site at Gary Fitts Street and Greensboro Avenue. Originally a movie theater, the building has been redeveloped to serve as the city's performing arts center through collaboration between the Arts Council of Tuscaloosa and the Tuscaloosa County Parks and Recreation Authority. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 and is a contributing structure within the Downtown Tuscaloosa Historic District, which was itself added to the register in 1985.
