The Baralt Theatre is an Art Deco theatre in downtown Maracaibo, Venezuela, located at the northwestern corner of the historic Plaza Bolívar. Designed by architect Leon Hoet, the building stands on a site with deep theatrical roots: a small performance hall was first erected there in the mid-nineteenth century, followed by successive reconstructions. The theatre holds significance as the venue for Venezuela's first film screenings and has long anchored the cultural life of Maracaibo's historic center. In recognition of its historical importance, the theatre was designated a National Monument of Venezuela in 1981.
