Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1928 as a commercial cemetery project but not completed until 2004, the Blue Sky Mausoleum stands in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, New York. The structure represents the final commission from Wright's patron Darwin D. Martin, following three earlier projects: Martin's residential complex, the Larkin Administration Building, and the summer house Graycliff. The mausoleum's delayed realization was overseen by Anthony Puttnam, a former Wright apprentice, who completed the design posthumously and has since defended the project against questions of authenticity.
