Bristol Central Library, completed in 1906 on College Green, is a Grade I listed building designed by architect Charles Holden. Conceived in Tudor Revival style, the library's design proved influential in the development of Edwardian Free Style architecture. Holden's work established Bristol's reputation for distinguished Edwardian buildings—he would later design the Edward VII Memorial Wing of the Bristol Royal Infirmary. The building serves as the main collections hub for Bristol's public library system.
