Cape Egmont Lighthouse, located on Cape Egmont in the Taranaki Region of New Zealand's North Island, is a cast iron tower standing 20 metres high. Originally manufactured by Simpson & Co. of Pimlico, London in 1864, the light was first erected on Mana Island near Porirua in 1865. Frequent confusion with the nearby Pencarrow Head light prompted its relocation in 1877 to Cape Egmont, where it was re-established in 1881. The lighthouse was automated in 1986 and is now owned and operated by Maritime New Zealand. It holds Heritage New Zealand Category 2 historic place status.
