The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Agatha in Catania, Sicily, is a Roman Catholic cathedral that blends Norman and Baroque architectural styles. Designed by Giovanni Battista Vaccarini, the cathedral served as the seat of the Bishops of Catania until 1859, when the diocese was elevated to an archdiocese; it has been the seat of the Archbishops of Catania since that time. The building is recognized as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is designated as Italian national heritage.
