The Cathedral of Saint Mary in Miami, Florida, serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Completed in 1955 in Mediterranean Revival style, it stands at 7525 N.W. 2nd Avenue. The structure evolved from earlier iterations—a small wooden church dedicated in 1930, followed by an expanded second church in 1939—before being formally designated a cathedral when the Diocese of Miami was established in 1958. The cathedral gained international prominence when Pope John Paul II visited in 1987. A significant renovation undertaken in 2015 addressed the roof and other structural improvements, ensuring the building's continued service to Miami's Catholic community.
