Chelsea Tower, also known as Al Salam Tower, is a 250-metre postmodern skyscraper designed by Atkins and completed in 2005 on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. The 49-storey building houses Al Salam Hotel Suites, a deluxe serviced apartment operation now managed by SRG Hospitality. When completed, it ranked as Dubai's fifth-tallest building, though it has since descended to 47th place in the city's skyline. The tower's name reflects its complex history: originally branded Chelsea Tower during its operation by the Chelsea Hotel Group, it was later renamed Al Salam Tower to distinguish it from the older adjacent Union Tower, which had originally been designated as the first Al Salam Tower before its developer changed course.
