Almas Tower, a 68-storey supertall skyscraper in Dubai's Jumeirah Lakes Towers district, rises 360 metres in high-tech architectural style. Designed by Atkins, the office building began construction in early 2005 and was completed in 2008, with its topping out occurring that same year. Upon completion, it briefly held the distinction of being Dubai's tallest building before being surpassed by the Burj Khalifa in 2009.
