Located in Centerville, Iowa, the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad Depot is a Prairie School style station built between July 1911 and February 1912 to serve as a dividing point on the line after the CB&Q's 1903 acquisition of the Keokuk & Western Railroad. Though its architect remains unknown, the building was likely designed using standard plans employed by CB&Q architects of the era and constructed by local contractor B.S. Staley. The station served the railroad until 1982, when it was subsequently purchased by the Appanoose County VFW post and repurposed as their meeting hall. It was designated a National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
