Burlington station in Burlington, Iowa, is a streamline moderne railroad station built in 1947 by the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad to replace a union station destroyed by fire in January 1943. Designed by the architectural firm Holabird & Root, the station exemplifies the sleek, horizontally-oriented aesthetic characteristic of its style. Today it serves Amtrak's California Zephyr with daily service in both directions and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
