The Church of Saint Nicholas in Prizren, a Serbian Orthodox structure founded in 1331–1332 by Dragoslav Tutić and his wife Bela, exemplifies Byzantine architecture executed in brick. Also known as the Tutić Church, it later became property of the Visoki Dečani Monastery and was designated a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance by Serbia in 1990. The building suffered significant damage during the 2004 unrest in Kosovo but has undergone EU-funded restoration efforts since 2005 to return it to its original state.
