The Medieval Monuments in Kosovo are a World Heritage Site comprising four Serbian Orthodox Christian churches and monasteries located in Kosovo and Metohija, Serbia. Built by the Nemanjić dynasty, the most significant Serbian medieval ruling family, these structures represent a distinctive fusion of Byzantine and Romanesque ecclesiastical architecture that evolved into the Palaiologian Renaissance style. The serial nomination includes the Dečani Monastery (recognized by UNESCO in 2004), the Patriarchate of Peć Monastery, the Church of Our Lady of Ljeviš, and Gračanica Monastery. The property was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage in Danger list in 2006 due to conservation challenges arising from regional political instability. Designated as Immovable Cultural Heritage of Exceptional Importance, the monuments collectively testify to the artistic and spiritual achievements of medieval Serbian Orthodox Christianity.
