Built circa 1875, the Clara Buswell House stands at 481 Main Street in Stoneham, Massachusetts, as one of the few remaining Italianate residences from an era when the street south of Central Square featured a succession of elegant homes. Combining Italianate and Renaissance Revival architectural styles, the house reflects the refined domestic architecture of the Gilded Age. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, it now serves as professional office space, preserving its nineteenth-century character while adapting to contemporary use.
