Clouds Hill, a historic house museum in Warwick, Rhode Island, is a large Gothic Revival mansion designed by Providence architect William R. Walker and built between 1871 and 1877 as a wedding gift for Elizabeth Ives Slater Reed from her father, William S. Slater. One of Walker's few surviving large-scale residential designs, the house originally stood on the Cedar Hill estate and reflects the wealth and taste of the Slater and Reed families, prominent Rhode Island textile magnates. The property features high-quality Victorian-era craftsmanship, including a distinctive Egyptian-themed room. After passing through four generations of Reed descendants, the estate was converted to a museum in 2004 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. The Clouds Hill Victorian House Museum is available for visits by appointment and during scheduled events.
