Located at 20 Calle de los Judíos in Córdoba's Jewish Quarter, the Córdoba Synagogue is a small Mudéjar structure completed in 1315 with its design attributed to Isaac Makheb. Its modest scale suggests it may have served as a private synagogue for a wealthy resident, or possibly functioned as a yeshiva, kollel, beth midrash, or guild workroom before its conversion to religious use. The building served as an active synagogue until 1492, after which it was repurposed for secular purposes. Following recognition as a Spanish Cultural Heritage monument in 1885, the synagogue was restored and reopened in 1985 as a Jewish museum, where it stands today as a testament to Córdoba's medieval Jewish heritage.
