Corky's was a Googie-style restaurant in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, designed by Armet & Davis and completed in 1958. Its defining feature was a sweeping roofline characteristic of the Googie architectural style. Originally opened as Stanley Burke's Coffee Shop on Van Nuys Boulevard, it became Corky's in the early 1960s when it transitioned to 24-hour operation. The venue gained cultural cachet when Billy Joel played piano there in the 1970s. After a 1970s remodeling and subsequent spells as the Lamplighter and a film location for *A Nightmare on Elm Street* (2010), the restaurant was restored and reopened as Corky's before closing in December 2019. The building was recognized as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument, though its interior was demolished by January 2025.
