The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, which opened to the public in Bentonville, Arkansas, on November 11, 2011, was founded by Alice Walton and designed by architect Moshe Safdie. Situated on approximately 120 to 134 acres of native Ozark forest, the museum comprises eight interconnected pavilions that integrate seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. The institution's collection spans American art across multiple periods and media, and it maintains a permanent endowment that enables free general admission for all visitors.
