The DZ Bank Building at Pariser Platz 3 in Berlin's Mitte district is a mixed-use structure designed by Frank Gehry and completed in 2000, featuring postmodern architecture in sandstone. Facing the Brandenburg Gate, one side houses offices and the headquarters of Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank, while the opposite facade overlooking Behrenstraße contains 39 residential apartments. Between these two wings lies a large atrium, engineered by Hans Schober of Schlaich Bergermann & Partner, serving as a conference and performance space and crowned with a sophisticated curved glass-grid roof characteristic of Gehry's distinctive formal language.
