Estadio Akron is a multipurpose football stadium designed by Populous and completed in 2010 in Zapopan, Jalisco, a suburb west of Guadalajara. Home to Liga MX side Guadalajara, the venue hosted the first leg of the 2010 Copa Libertadores Finals and the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2011 Pan American Games. Originally built with an artificial surface that drew considerable criticism from professional players, the stadium transitioned to natural grass in 2012. Named after Grupo Akron, a Mexican lubricant and fuel company, the facility is scheduled to host four group stage matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
