Built in 1925 in St. Petersburg, Florida, this historic church was designed by architect Howard Lovewell Cheney as a basilican structure drawing inspiration from Filippo Brunelleschi's fifteenth-century Ospedale degli Innocenti in Florence. Constructed by the George A. Fuller Construction Company of New York City, the building exemplifies Romanesque Revival style and originally served the First Church of Christ, Scientist. Its interior featured a 1926 Skinner organ and remarkable Arts and Crafts tilework by renowned ceramicist Ernest A. Batchelder. Sold to the Palladium Theater in 1998, the building underwent renovation while preserving key architectural elements. Now known as the Palladium at St. Petersburg College following a 2007 transfer, it remains a contributing property to the North Shore Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2003.
